Florida Power Point Presentations

Fourth Grade parents visited the computer lab today to view the Power Points that our students have been working on this year. Our students have been busy preparing their slide presentations from information gathered on various websites and the Florida textbook. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join us for the presentation.

The Elementary Box Tops contest is officially over. Each and every one of you should be proud of your part in raising money for our school. To date, the Elementary school has raised a little over $1,200. Every class contributed and even though there can only be one first place winner, I want you all to know we would not have made this much for our school without everyone’s participation. You are all awesome!

The winner is Mrs. Martell’s Kindergarten Class. Her class will receive a pizza party with an hour in the moonwalk.

Mrs. Neri was so pleased that all classes participated, she’s arranged for EVERY homeroom class to enjoy the jumper for 20 minutes. Thank you Mrs. Neri that was an awesome surprise.

As soon as a date is set for Mrs. Martell’s party we will set up times for each class to have their fun in the Jumper!

Teachers, thank you again for your support. Keep collecting those Box Tops and Labels for Education. There may be another contest or giveaway before the school year ends.

Rising Kindergarten Parents

Are you a parent of a rising Kindergarten student for the 2009-10 school year? If so, this is the place to be! I have provided links (under JUMP START) on the right-hand side of this page for you and your child to visit over the next few months before transitioning into Kindergarten.

Make sure you take the time to sit down with your child as they explore these sites. The main focus is allowing your child to become comfortable using the mouse and keys such as space bar, enter, numbers and so on...on the keyboard.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. You may do so by clicking on the link under Contact Mrs. Whipple.
